Cloud security is the practice of protecting cloud-based infrastructure, applications, and data from threats, misconfigurations, and unauthorized access, within the operating model cloud platforms impose: shared responsibility, API-driven infrastructure, and resources that can be spun up or torn down in seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The shared responsibility model is the single most important concept here, worth getting precisely right. The cloud provider secures the infrastructure (physical security, hypervisor, network hardware).
