My time in college is really where my journey began. Some of my best college memories include attending college fests. Even though my college was not as large as it is in bigger and better colleges like IIIT Hyderabad or IIT Bombay, my college’s coding culture instilled in me the passion I feel for my profession.
I realized the need to begin preparing for interviews towards the later part of the second year. Having next to no knowledge about the process, I turned to Scaler Academy for guidance. The first few interviews I gave were nerve-wracking and exciting at the same time. Doubts and uncertainties take over your mind due to the pressure, but the trick that worked for me was to believe in my preparation and stand by the work I had done to help myself, and I advise the same to every aspirant as well.
I think my experience was still smoother than most because of Scaler. They provide mock interviews with experienced industry interviewers, which familiarize you with the process and get rid of the nerves that tend to make people fumble in interviews.
Once you get your first offer, the subsequent interviews are much easier because you gain confidence from the previous interview. The company I’m currently working at gives me ample opportunities by widening the spectrum of skills. The colleagues I have are helpful and they never overshadow anything we do. The company also factors in each employee’s ideas and gives us a chance to be creative.
