Scaler, India’s leading tech education platform, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with IIM Tiruchirappalli to jointly build management and business programmes that reflect the realities of today’s fast-changing workplace, buoyed by the immense influence of AI. The partnership aims to help professionals develop the leadership skills that are becoming essential as technology and AI continue to shape how companies operate, compete, and grow.

LtoR – Jubin Sharma, Senior Manager, Strategy @ Scaler; Amar Srivastava, Head, Online Business @ Scaler; Prof Saravanan P – Dean Corporate Relations and Faculty Affairs @ IIM Trichy; Rajalakshmi C, Assistant Administrative Officer, Executive Education & Consulting Office (EEC) @ IIM Trichy & Senthil S, Manager, Executive Education and Consulting Office (EEC) @ IIM Trichy

Through this collaboration, IIM Tiruchirappalli will bring in its academic expertise and structured learning approach. At the same time, Scaler will add its strength in applied, industry-focused education and its deep understanding of how technology and AI are reshaping modern workplaces. Together, the two institutions will work on creating programmes that combine strong management foundations with practical exposure to real business challenges and the technological shifts influencing them.

Speaking about the partnership, Abhimanyu Saxena, Co-founder of Scaler, said, “AI is changing how companies think, plan, and execute. Leaders today need to understand business and technology with equal confidence. Working with IIM Tiruchirappalli allows us to build programmes that help professionals develop that balance, strong fundamentals, a practical mindset, and the ability to make decisions in a fast-moving environment.”

Professor Saravanan P, Dean Corporate Relations and Faculty Affairs from IIM Tiruchirappalli added, “Managers today are expected to navigate complex business situations while also being comfortable with new technologies. Our association with Scaler allows us to bring both a much-needed technological depth to business and management programmes that are already closely aligned with industry needs. Together, we want to support learners in building clarity, judgment, and the ability to apply concepts meaningfully at work.”

Scaler continues to expand its work in the management learning space with programmes that bring together business fundamentals, real-world application, and technology and AI. A recent example is the PGP in Business & AI, designed to help professionals build future-oriented leadership skills. Scaler has also set aside ₹50 crore over the next two years to develop and scale such offerings, including curriculum development, faculty collaborations, and learning infrastructure.

As AI becomes part of everyday business, managers’ expectations will continue to shift. Routine tasks will increasingly be automated, while human judgment, problem-solving, and the ability to work with data and intelligent tools will matter more than ever. The leaders of the future will be those who can connect the dots between strategy, people, and technology. Through this partnership and its broader initiatives, Scaler aims to help professionals prepare for this transition and build careers that grow alongside the new world of “tech-powered management.”
