It is difficult to get back on track if you stop improving. One must keep practicing, working harder, learning more and conquering their goals, one day at a time.

For as long as I can remember, I have been interested in computers. Back in the days of dial-up internet connections, my dad and I would often experiment with different operating systems, applications, and so on. What started as a quest for learning has now become a full fledged career path, and I couldn’t have been happier doing anything else.

I am Gaurang Jain, currently employed at Adobe as a software developer. I have had somewhat of an atypical journey. I went to the USA for my bachelor’s degree. At the end of my college years, I was unsure if I wanted to devote my entire career to working at an MNC.

Therefore, I started working as a content writer for blockchains on machine learning while dabbing a little into the theater and stand up comedy. This dabbling into a plethora of options made me realize that something was missing from my life, something I couldn’t afford to lose, and so the journey back home started.

When I chanced upon Scaler, I had not sat for an interview for over three years. I was out of touch with the current practices, and so the program seemed perfect for me. The place looked exactly what I needed to put myself back on the map, and it turned out to be even more helpful than I imagined.

Scaler’s instructors had excellent credentials, these were people I knew and I looked up to, and they helped me on my journey as if I was one of their own, and now I can proudly say that yes, I am. It isn’t easy to get back on track if you stop improving. One must keep practicing, working harder, learning more, and conquering their goals, one day at a time.

My interview at Adobe was unique because everything was virtual, from the interview to the actual getting on board. Frankly, it was less terrifying to give the interview from my bedroom, but I believe it would have been much better in the physical setup. People often assume that in a big MNC like Adobe, there is considerably less scope for developing new things, but that has not been my experience at all. A hundred things are going wrong that need to be solved in real-time.

Working in the industry for a couple of years now has taught me the meaning of holistic success. I don’t aim for a dream car or a dream company but rather a balanced life that allows me the adventure of trying new things. Having clarity of thought goes a long way. Once you have a clear goal, your brain subconsciously rewires towards it, and things start manifesting themselves if you want it bad enough.
