Does Scaler Guarantee Placement? What the Program Actually Commits To
If you are searching for a scaler placement guarantee, the answer is simple: No. Scaler does not guarantee placement. What Scaler does provide is placement support. That includes career guidance, interview preparation, resume support, mock interviews, and access to job opportunities through its career network.
Scaler placement guarantee: Does Scaler guarantee placement?
No. Scaler does not guarantee placement. Scaler's program page states: "Getting a job is dependent on many factors, some of which are completely out of our control. Hence, we do not guarantee you a job." What Scaler commits to is placement support, which is resume review, mock interviews, and facilitated referrals, not a job offer and not a guaranteed number of interviews.
What Scaler Commits to, and What It Does Not

+1000 moreWhat Placement Support Actually Includes
We provide scaler placement assistance through 3 main areas:
- Access to job opportunities through our employer network
- Opportunities shared through the Scaler community
- Preparation support such as mock interviews and resume reviews.
Job opportunities can reach you through different channels. Employers can post multiple opportunities for learners to apply to, recruiters can discover learner profiles through the Scaler Talent Portal, and our careers team can facilitate connections with companies that work directly with Scaler. Opportunities can also be shared through the student, tutor, mentor, and alumni community.
We also help you prepare for the hiring process through mock interviews, resume support, and career guidance. Our mock interview resources are designed to give you practice and feedback before a real interview.
You can also practise interviews before you spend anything.
What Scaler Does Not Commit To
There are 3 things that we don’t commit to:
- No company is contractually obliged to interview you.
- No number of interviews is guaranteed.
- No job offer is guaranteed, at any salary, in any timeframe.
A referral or connection can help get your profile in front of the hiring team, but it won’t create an automatic shortlist or job offer.
The same applies to hiring drives. When employers approach us with opportunities, we make those opportunities available to eligible learners, who can then apply for roles that interest them. Referrals can also depend on factors such as performance in tests, attendance, and problem-solving performance.
From there, the employer handles its own assessments, interviews, and selection decisions.
What Does "Hiring Partner" Mean Here
A scaler hiring partner is a company that works with Scaler around hiring opportunities or has hired Scaler alumni.
Through these relationships, job openings and roles may be shared with eligible learners. If you apply for one of these roles, you still need to meet the requirements of the position and go through the company's selection process.
Who is Eligible for Placement Support?
Our scaler placement eligibility requirements are conditional on the applicable program requirements. This includes completing the program, meeting the required attendance and assignment conditions, and meeting any additional assessment requirements that apply to the program.
The exact eligibility conditions can vary with the program, so we recommend confirming the requirements that apply to your cohort before you enrol. You can also read the published terms of service for the conditions that apply to career opportunities and support.
Who is Counted In a Placement Figure?
If you have been looking through Scaler's placement reports and outcome figures, you may have questions about how these figures really came to be. The cohort, number of learners, time period, and eligibility conditions all form part of the figure.
Here are the details that you can look into:
- Which cohort does it cover?
- How many learners are included?
- What time period does it cover?
- Who is included in the denominator?
- Are learners who did not complete the program included?
- Are learners who did not meet the program's eligibility conditions included?
These details determine what the figures are really conveying. For example, a placement rate calculated only among learners who completed the program and met the eligibility conditions is not the same as a rate calculated across everyone who enrolled.
For the underlying stories and outcome data, you can read our placement stories and the salaries behind them.
Who Tends Not to Get Placed, and Why?
Several factors can affect placement outcomes. Some relate to completing the program and meeting the eligibility conditions, while others come into play during the hiring process:
-
If you do not complete the program or meet the applicable eligibility conditions: Placement support is conditional, so completing the required coursework and meeting the applicable attendance and eligibility requirements are important.
-
If you do not actively participate in the hiring process: We can help you prepare, connect you with opportunities, and support your applications, but you still need to apply for roles and complete the assessments or interviews required by employers. Your preferred salary, location, role, and experience level can also affect how many opportunities match your profile.
-
If the roles available do not match your profile: Hiring opportunities vary by role and employer. Your experience, skills, location, salary expectations, and other requirements can affect whether a particular opportunity is a match.
You can also read what learners say about the experience.
Before you join, ask the admissions team these four questions in writing: what exactly does placement support include, what are the eligibility conditions, how long does support continue after the program ends, and is any outcome guaranteed in the agreement I am signing? Getting clear answers to all four questions before enrolling can help you understand exactly what the program commits to.
How this Compares to the Rest of the Category
Some education providers use job guarantees or pay-after-placement models. These arrangements work differently from placement assistance and can come with specific conditions.
Those conditions may include eligibility requirements, a salary threshold, a minimum number of applications, attendance or assessment requirements, acceptance of qualifying offers, or repayment terms if the conditions are not met.
The two models can be described simply:
-
A job guarantee is a contractual arrangement with specific conditions attached to the outcome.
-
Placement assistance provides support with preparation, applications, referrals, and access to opportunities without committing to a particular employment outcome.
The terms attached to each model determine what the provider is responsible for and what the learner needs to do.

Scaler learners achieved 2.5x salary growth with average post-Scaler CTC reaching ₹23L.
Should You Enrol if You Want a Guarantee?
If having a placement guarantee is an important part of what you are looking for, then you might need to consider another option, since Scaler does not provide it.
What Scaler does provide is placement support focused on helping you prepare for the hiring process, access job opportunities, and get support along the way.
If that model works for you, you can consider Scaler based on the learning and career support you are looking for. If a guaranteed job or a pay-after-placement arrangement is important to you, there are programs that offer those models, with their own conditions attached.
You can read about the wider question of whether Scaler is worth it.
FAQs
Does Scaler guarantee placement?
No. Scaler provides placement support and not a guaranteed placement outcome. This includes career guidance, interview preparation, and access to job opportunities.
Turn Learning into Career Growth
Does Scaler guarantee a job after the course?
No. A job offer depends on the role, the employer's requirements, and the selection process.
What does Scaler's placement support include?
Our placement support includes access to job opportunities, community-led opportunities, mock interviews, resume reviews, and career guidance. Recruiters can also discover learner profiles through the Scaler Talent Portal, while our careers team can facilitate connections with companies that work directly with Scaler.
Does Scaler guarantee interviews?
No. We do not guarantee an interview or a specific number of interviews. You can apply for the opportunities you are interested in that are shared through Scaler, while referrals and connections can depend on factors such as your performance in assessments, attendance, and problem-solving performance.
What does "hiring partner" mean at Scaler?
A hiring partner is a company that works with Scaler around hiring opportunities or has hired Scaler alumni. This means the roles may be available to eligible learners, but it does not mean the company is required to interview every learner. You still need to meet the requirements of the role and go through the company's hiring process.
Am I automatically eligible for placement support?
No. Placement support is conditional on the applicable program requirements. This can include completing the program, meeting attendance and assignment requirements, and meeting any additional assessment requirements that apply to the program.
What is Scaler's placement rate?
Placement figures depend on the cohort, number of learners included, time period, and eligibility conditions used to calculate them. A figure based on learners who completed the program and met the eligibility requirements is different from one calculated across everyone who enrolled. We are not publishing a placement percentage on this page.
What happens if I don't get placed?
Scaler does not guarantee a job offer if you complete the program. We provide career and placement support, but the final decision rests with the employer. If you do not receive an offer, the applicable program terms and placement-support conditions continue to determine what support is available to you.
