How the Monthly Payment Works

If you're considering paying for the program through EMI, then the following aspects can help you have a clearer understanding:

Is it a loan, or a payment plan?

Our EMI options are arranged through NBFC partners, so the financing comes from a third-party lender rather than being an installment plan directly with Scaler. The exact financing terms depend on the option available to you.

Who the lender is

The specific NBFC partner can vary depending on the financing option available to you. So, before you sign, check the lender's name, the repayment terms, and the financing agreement alongside our terms.

How the No-Cost EMI Option Works

Scaler no cost EMI options are available alongside standard-interest EMI options through our NBFC partners. With a no-cost EMI option, the applicable interest cost is not charged to you under the relevant terms and conditions. The available tenures and monthly payments can vary by program and financing option, so check the terms of the option offered to you before enrolling.

What happens if you leave the program

If you decide to leave the program, what happens next depends on when you withdraw and how you paid your fees. You can request a refund within 14 days of your first class, subject to the conditions in our Terms. After this refund window, if your fees were paid through third-party financing, you will still need to make the agreed payments to the financing provider.

When You Should Not Take The Loan

If you are thinking about taking a loan for the program, here are a few things you should check before you go ahead:

  • The monthly payment would take a large share of your take-home pay: Work out the monthly payment as a percentage of your current take-home salary and see how it fits with your other monthly expenses.

  • You do not have an income right now: If the plan is to repay the loan from a salary you expect to earn after completing the program, then it’s best to consider whether you can manage the repayments if your job search takes longer than expected.

  • You are relying on a future salary increase to manage the repayments: Scaler does not guarantee a job, and career support does not change the repayment terms of your financing. It is worth making sure the monthly payment works with your current finances.

  • You have not tried a free course on the same subject yet: Spending a couple of weeks with free learning material can give you a chance to see how the subject fits your interests and if you can realistically make time for it.

  • You cannot consistently set aside time for the program: Classes, practice, and project work all require time, while the financing continues according to its agreed terms. If your current schedule is already full, starting with a free course can give you a way to begin learning without taking on the financial commitment.

Who Should Not Enrol at All

We provide resources, guidance, and support learners need to build their skills and move forward in their careers. But not every learning goal needs the same kind of program. If what you want to achieve can be done through a shorter course, self-paced learning, or another format altogether, it is worth considering those options as well.

For example:

  • You want to learn one specific skill and are not targeting a career change: If you only want to add a particular skill to your existing profile, a focused course may be all you need.

  • You already complete long technical courses without needing anyone to keep you on track: If you are able to plan your own learning, find resources, and stay consistent, a self-paced course may work well for you.

  • You are enrolling mainly because someone told you the program guarantees a job: We don’t provide job guarantee, and the career assistance also on your own individual performance, background, and alsp on the company hiring, so you must consider all other factors while making your decision.

  • You cannot give the program the hours it requires: Classes, practice, projects, and other activities need regular time. If you cannot make that commitment right now, another learning format may be a better fit.

What the Published Scaler Refund Policy Says

Our Terms provide a 14-day Refund Window from the first class, including the meet-and-greet session. Refund requests must be submitted within this period. After the Refund Window, refunds are not provided for non-use, dissatisfaction, or other reasons. If you have used third-party financing, you remain responsible for payments to the financing provider after withdrawing outside the Refund Window.

You can read the published refund and cancellation terms for the complete details.

About the "Scaler pays for its reviews" Claim

We publish learner stories and reviews on our website. Where a professional profile is provided, you can also check the learner’s identity and professional details against that profile.

You can explore more Scaler learner reviews and the experiences shared by learners themselves.

What The Outcome Numbers Do and Don't Tell You

We publish audited reports covering placement and salary outcomes. The figures in each report relate to the specific learners, cohort, and period covered by that report.

Learners enter our programs with different salaries, levels of experience, and preparation. So, an average salary increase reported in an audit represents the learners included in that calculation. It does not mean every learner will see the same increase.

The same applies to placement rates. Each percentage is calculated using the learners included in that particular report and period. The report provides the relevant cohort and calculation details alongside the outcome figures.

You can also read our placement stories and the salaries behind them for individual learner examples.

What to Check Before Signing Up

Before you enrol, here’s what you can ask our admissions team:

  • Who is the lender?
  • What is the total amount you will repay, including interest?
  • What is the repayment tenure?
  • What happens to your payments if you withdraw in month four?
  • What part of your payment is excluded from the refund?
  • Does the program offer a placement guarantee?

You can speak with our admissions team if you have questions before signing up. You can also keep the terms and answers shared with you in writing for your records.
